Crocodile Dundee (1986) Australian R4 DVD

I wonder if someone could answer this question for me please?

Does the Paramount R4 DVD of Crocodile Dundee (1986) contain the Australian version on the film? I know that the releases by 20th Century Fox contain the Australian version.

I can't find any listing of a Paramount R4 disc. But if the cover states the runtime to be 100 minutes, most likely is the Australian cut.

Thank you for replying. I might take the gamble and order the Paramount release as the 20th Century Fox DVD is OOP. I would of thought if it is released in Australia then it would contain the Australian version of the film.

Thank you. I have checked on the site and they only have the Crocodile Dundee 1&2 DVD set by 20th Century Fox. I may have to just look into buying that edition, problem is the sellers I messaged on eBay don't not ship to the UK. Loads of sellers are advertising the Paramount release but without knowing if the Australian version is included I don't really want to go through the expensive of importing the wrong version.

I asked because I checked sites like JB HiFi and EzyDVD, and neither sell a Paramount "Crocodile Dundee" part 1. If ebay is the only place that has it, I might be a little weary on whether it's a bootleg or not.

Could it be a case of Fox simply distributing Paramount titles?

In the US, Paramount have stopped distributing their own titles. Warner recently had the contract, but IIRC Fox now has it over there? Still Paramount sorting the discs etc out, but just someone else actually distributing them?

The rights to Dundee 1 and 2 were Fox in Australia and Paramount for the rest of the world. Seems strange that Paramount suddenly would release the DVD in Australia and also not have it available on major aussie etailer sites. The Paramount Australia site has no info, and COB site has no particular info.

These guys post worldwide.It's the Paramount version though.I own the Fox 2-disc release of both films which contains the Aussie version of 1.No idea whatsover which version Paramount have:

It's my review on MichaelDVD. The EU PAL runtime is 94 minutes; the AU PAL runtime is 100. I hope the PQ and soundtrack on any re-release are an improvement. I ended up making a home-made composite using (far better, stereo) footage from the EU disc edited with the AU footage where different.

I managed to pick up a region 4 DVD of Crocodile Dundee & Crocodile Dundee 2 (20th Century Fox), as mentioned above the Australian version of Crocodile Dundee runs for 100 mins.
