The Full Moon 3 Blu-ray Collection has a substantial documentary while the Umbrella has lossless stereo audio and a few exclusive extras of its own. extras over the US/Canada 3-disc set.
GENERAL NOTES:
After many false starts, the film went into production in Romania in 1994 with a projected release date of 1997 but production was halted after Full Moon's distribution deal with Paramount was not renewed. Allen continued working on the film in between assignments until his death in 1999. The 2023 release version was finished by several of his visual effects colleagues.
The film exists in two versions:
- the final cut completed in 2022 and released in 2023 (~91 minutes);
- the so-called "David Allen Version" (~98 minutes) which is a composite of the final version, raw footage, and storyboards as an attempt at a "director's cut" reconstruction. -
