The US release has an exclusive commentary, though it only has 5.1 audio.
The German release has exclusive interviews and 7.1 audio, though the subtitles are forced on the Mandarin audio track.
The Hong Kong and Korean releases have 7.1 audio with optional subtitles, but fewer extras.
The following versions of the movie are known:
- The original 'NC-17' version (~158min),
- The 'R-rated' version in which sex scenes have been trimmed (~158min),
- The heavily censored Chinese version (~147min) in which:
*One sex scene has been completely removed.
*The other sex scenes have been edited down to little more than shots of the actors' facial expressions.
*All nudity has been removed.
*A brutally violent scene of a man being killed has been abbreviated: the man is seen being stabbed in the stomach, and the rest of the scene is cut.
*A scene of sexual molestation within a car has been completely cut.
